Good news! We couldn’t nail down an airport easily. What that means is that we have decided to once again use the Auto Clearing Speedway in Saskatoon as our venue. The 2012 Sask Boxer Battle will be a 2-day event to take full advantage of Cruise Weekend, on the weekend of August 25th and 26th, 2012.
The plan is to have Saturday as race day and Sunday a show-and-shine as we take in the cruise weekend with what is left of our cars. In the event of a rain delay, the backup plan is that racing will be on Sunday, and Saturday will be open for indoor social activities TBD. Either way, this will be a 2-day event, and we are working on accommodation options such as billeting.
Fundraising, advertising, and detailed planning are underway, so stay tuned for more information. This site will be changed soon to incorporate all of the new initiatives. Without giving up too much, the fundraising is likely going to be just as much fun to attend as the actual Boxer Battle!
